01The short version

A designer's eye, an engineer's rigour

I started out building and maintaining client websites at a creative agency, then spent time coordinating production software releases for enterprise banking systems, the kind of work that runs 24/7 and simply can't break. That taught me a level of discipline around reliability, security, and detail that most web freelancers never get exposed to.

Today I run Merlion Agency as a one-person Agency. I've independently designed, built, and launched live websites for real clients, like Eshco Hair Studio and NASAX Roofing, and shipped a series of full-stack SaaS products on my own, spanning authentication, Stripe payments, OpenAI features, and multi-tenant databases.

What that means for you: when you hire me, you get a designer and an engineer in the same person, someone who handles your whole project end to end, explains things in plain English, and is still around to help long after launch.

An unusual path for a web developer, and exactly why I build things to last.

  1. 2022

    Full-Stack Student · JSM Software Development Bootcamp

    Completed an intensive full-stack bootcamp, building a car rental platform, a travel booking site, a music player, and a personal portfolio from scratch. Laid the foundation in JavaScript, React, and full-stack thinking that underpins every project I build today.
